on a rock.

(look at what you can find outside of the studio.)

it's been some time now. i have finally gotten the chance to sit down and think.
truly one of the most valuable things that we as humans can do.
now as you know i love yoga.
but what you may not know is that i love going hiking. especially with friends.
and what better of a treat than to go on a lovely hike and take a break and practice
some yoga in between. sometimes we get stuck in the mind set that we have to practice in a studio or quiet room at home. but one of the greatest things about yoga is that you can do it anywhere. even during a long hike. it's a great
way to carry oxygen rich nutrient to your blood to aid with energy throughout the rest of your hike.

here's a series that you can try on your own during a yoga break session:

start stand at attention.
inhale to mountain pose.
exhale and bring hands at heart center.
ground down through your left foot for tree.
release and ground down through your right foot for tree on the other side.
release and shake it out.
inhale hands to mountain pose.
exhale brings hands to heart center.
slowly close your eyes.
feel all four corners of your feet grounded to mother natures surface.
feel the breeze tickle your face.
enjoy nature.
slowly blink your eyes open.
inhale to mountain pose.
exhale for a baby back bend
lastly inhale to standing at attention.
Namaste

give it a GO
